John,
I really like your build. To clue everyone in, I have already been following John's build and helping where I can on it. I like the fact that John is building this bed from scratch, no prints at all. In my opinion that shows some skill and forethought. Can't wait to see the finished product!

Looks good so far, only thing I don't like is the bolts through the frame. Are those going to stay. If so they should be a little longer. Or maybe it's the pictures?

They are just started in the nuts.
Just fitting them for now.

They do have 1/2" to 3/4" past a full nut.
