Yes that stick plate was 1inch. fuel tank 5mm aluminium. There was no demands on looks of the outside. It was made after cutting that piece of aluminium by hammering in a bench and bending by hands.. SORRY MY WRITINGS/ENGLISH SOME WORDS MAY SOUND FUNNY OR NOT MAKE ALLWAYS SENSE. BUT YOU OTTO ARE BRETTY GOOD FINDING THAT WHAT I MEAN AT PICTURES. STILL LEARNING TO USE THIS. I finded this one site called Fabrication....something there was some darm bretty mig welds. I knew that you can make Mig welds look like made Tig but these was nicely ones.
