A big project with some welded frames supporting sleeper planter boxes on a rotten slope. The first stage frame is set in 1.8 m deep holes, on 40mm concrete, (waterproofing), with over 1.8 cubic metres of concrete then poured into the holes (ten holes). Second stage of frame is fixed in rigid structure design off the first, and then the frames are then made of sleeper columns also set in concrete, now that we are nearly up the slope. Steel is 90 mm square hollow section, galv, 2.5 mm walls. No holes drilled into steel, all sleepers attached to frames with brackets welded to frames.
These photos are not welding, but they just show a bit more of the idea started above.
Boxes are finished now, and I am building access: platforms and walkways, mostly steel.
