Welding Tips and Tricks

When I started welding....not knowing too much.........I tried using 7018 rod on a Lincoln AC welder. had terrible luck. The rod was a bitch to start and restart and the slag was hard to remove. After watching one of Jody's video's I tried it again yesterday. Using a DC welder this time and tried to keep a tight arc and also using a file to clean the tip of the rod things welded much much better and easier.

7018 will be used more often !!!
